Guest Code of Conduct
Last updated: 23 June 2025
At Whattaplace, every space is more than just a venue — it’s a creation. Each one is carefully curated and lovingly shared by its owner, not just to host your shoot or gathering, but to become part of your story. As a Guest, you're stepping into someone’s crafted environment. Please treat it with the same respect and care that went into making it.
1. Treat the Space Like a Creation, Not Just a Location
Every Host has poured time, thought, and heart into their space. Honor that.
Follow the Host’s house rules — they’re there to protect both the space and your experience.
Use only the areas permitted and leave things just as beautifully as you found them.
2. Be Clear and Honest About Your Intentions
Let your booking reflect your true purpose — whether it’s a shoot, workshop, meeting, or celebration.
Be upfront about your crew size, equipment, and special requirements.
Hidden use or last-minute surprises break trust and may result in penalties.
3. Respect the Surroundings
Remember that many of these spaces are part of residential or mixed-use neighbourhoods.
Keep noise levels respectful and avoid causing disruption to the community.
All activities must comply with local laws — no illegal substances, weapons, or unlicensed events.
4. Be Accountable for Your Impact
You’re responsible for any damage, mess, or misuse during your time in the space.
Report any incidents or breakages to the Host and Whattaplace immediately.
Costs for repairs, extra cleaning, or extended time may apply post-booking.
5. Leave it Better, Not Just Clean
Clean up after yourself — pack up, dispose of waste responsibly, and reset any moved furniture.
End your session on time so that Hosts (and other Guests) aren’t left waiting or cleaning up after you.
6. Respect Through Communication
Stay responsive and transparent with your Host — good communication makes for great experiences.
Running late or need help? Let your Host know.
Report any disputes or concerns to Whattaplace within 24 hours of your booking.
7. Security, Trust & Transparency
We take safety seriously — for both Guests and Hosts. By using Whattaplace, you agree to:
ID Verification: Hosts may request valid ID for every crew or team member entering the space. Refusal or misrepresentation may lead to denied entry or cancellation.
Security Cameras: Some spaces may have surveillance cameras in common or exterior areas for safety reasons.
Hosts must clearly disclose camera presence in their listing.
Cameras are strictly prohibited in private spaces like bathrooms or dressing areas.-
Tampering with or disabling security equipment is not allowed under any circumstances.
8. This is a Shared Culture
Opening up a space is an act of trust. At Whattaplace, we see every booking as a moment of shared creativity. Misuse, mistreatment, or repeated violations of this code can lead to account suspension or removal from the platform.
